The threatening presence of 2 Peregrines sitting on the outmarsh by the Stonebridge seal warden huts ensured an early count of only 7 Shore Larks this morning. My first 2 Sand Martins flew north over the mudflats and a Red-throated Diver flew north at sea. 8 Chiffchaffs were in the dunes and 36 Avocets were with 245 Redshanks on the realignment area. At 1620, 2 Red Kites drifted very slowly to the SW over Marsh Lane.
