Gannets, still common offshore earlier in morning but direction of movement not as defined as yesterday. At least 100 seen,with single groups of 31 and 17 but not counted systematically. Red-throated diver, 1 on sea and 2 flying locally. Guillemot, 5 juvs. on sea and at least another 5 flying locally offshore. Razorbill, 1 juv . bird on sea. Black-backed, black cap and pale/suffused white area extending up towards rear of head, as per jackdaw, which gave capped appearance. Common scoter, 5 Arctic skua, 1 Sandwich tern 14 Oystercatcher 550+, of which 200 flew north on falling tide Curlew, 180 Whimbrel, 2 Redshank, 160+ Greenshank, 1 Golden Plover, 200+ Bar-tailed godwit 11 All other smaller waders in single figures.
