Normally, Friday night is fish and chips night from the Clock restaurant in Mablethorpe, eaten in the car by the boating lake car park. This week, we had to go on Wednesday evening 29th August. There were only 5 black-headed gulls waiting for a feed, but there was also a juvenile Caspian Gull with them, which was much more gentile than the herring gulls that are normally present.

Cliff

Hi Cliff,

Nice record. I think there are only handful of accepted records of juvenile Caspian Gull in Lincs (with or without chips), so we'll look forward to receiving your description/photos of this bird.

Best wishes,

John

I had a juv Caspian Gull on Skegness main beach on 010912. It was with other large Gulls clearing up assorted detritus left by holidaymakers. Will post a poor pic in the album.

Regards

Nige
