This afternoon I thought I'd pop over to Fiskerton Fen Scrapes to check out the drake Garganey. I was there from 4.30-5.15 but there was no sign of the bird. It could have still been there for there are plenty of suitable wet areas not fully visible from the Hide. (Wellingtons no longer needed to access the Hide).

There were plenty of Swifts and Hirundines about and a Hobby flew through low. A Little Egret also flew in.

I went on to the Fiskerton Fen Hide in case the Garganey had flown to the lagoon there but again no sign. At a distance a 'promising' Dove near the Hide turned out to be Collared.
