Despite the news on the RBA pager of a ringtail Pallid Harrier at Rimac at 06.40h, a few of us there later could not re-locate it. We did have an indeterminate ringtail harrier through south at about 09.40h, but views were frustratingly brief and a bit distant. This bird felt like a Hen on size and jizz and we couldn't really see much of a head pattern. The wing tips looked quite broad. There's quite a good video of the recent Spurn bird on You Tube:

The harrier we saw also appeared to have some solid streaking below, not as uniform in appearance as the Spurn individual (which also shows narrow slim wings and pointed tips). However, our views were not conclusive.....Perhaps some of the others will post any additional views ?

Phil, with Roy & Linda Harvey, James Siddle, Dave Hursthouse and others.
