RBA reports a Hoopoe at Spalding for its 5th day - in an area with no general access.
It would be nice to have one turn up somewhere in the county where we could actually get to see it.

The Spalding Hoopoe has to fly sooner or later, and perhaps not very far......so your wish may soon be granted, Roy. :D

Freddy

PS. I noted the report on BirdGuides this morning and thought the same as you....and hoped Norfolk wouldn't be its next destination.

Oh, Dad - I am SO sorry!!!!!! #-o

** sympathetic Facepalm **

The Hoopoe, along with the Great Bustard, are the 2 birds he most deeply wants to see in his life! The weekend we have visitors, THIS happens! To make it worse, he has a cold and has been knocking back the Lemsip!!!!

The Hoopoe was looked for this morning but no joy. It was seen well yesterday on a footpath off Burgh Road and had apparently been present since Thursday which is surprising as the area is prone to a lot of disturbance being well used by dog walkers.

Regards

Nige

Anyone available to provide a lift tomorrow afternoon if it's still there?
