Not present this morning at 11am but seen again around 3pm.

There are a maze of pits at the West Ashby complex so plenty of hiding places! Unfortunately all are on private land not viewable from the road.

I too failed this morning Russ and discovered the security there was insurmountable so there was no chance of accessing the inner pits. Was your photo taken from the road ?

Thanks Hugh, got drenched but worth it....Just.

Phil, RND was on the Small pit next to the Road, digiscoped from between the trees which didn't give much protection from the rain.

Drake Ring-necked duck present again on roadside lake @ 1840 this evening. Was in the company of 4 Tufties. Watched it for 10 mins then a Grey Heron flew over and the lot lifted. Waited for 10-15 mins but they did not return.
