Some interesting birds after the first autumn easterly!

Red-breasted flycatcher
Yellow browed warbler 2
Firecrest 2
Ring ouzel 2
shrike - in off sea and seemed to go down in the East Dunes- presumed great grey - not relocated.

A good fall of Blackbirds today with over 140 counted on site today (73 in the plantation alone!!!!!), with 300 Redwing, and 20+ Fieldfare

Productive seawatch/Vis Mig this morning with:
Brent Goose 50 (S)
Brambling 3 (S)
Common Scoter 63
Velvet Scoter 4 (S)
Bean Goose 3 (S)
Pink-footed Goose 130 (N)
Scaup 1 (Drake, on Sea) (Per Nige Lound)
Red-throated Diver 5 (S)
Eider 2 (S)

Wader/Gull Counts this evening:

Redshank 265
Knot 30000
Grey Plover 237
Dunlin 131
Oystercatcher 2000
Curlew 64

Black-headed Gull 2055
Great Black-backed Gull 1414
Common Gull 93
Herring Gull 3283
Lesser Black-backed Gull 15

Also the first returning Hen Harrier this evening in the form of a Ringtail

Also on 13th, 12 Whooper Swan south and 5 R B Merganser on sea. Good numbers of Skylark through for most of the day after about 0930 and 124 Greenfinch and 70+ Goldfinch with lesser numbers of common finches moving south first thing.

Vismig better on 14th with 330 Wood Pigeon, 37 Lapwing, 14 Tree Sparrow, 144 Chaffinch, 7 Brambling, 94 Siskin, 420 Greenfinch, 190 Goldfinch, 24 Linnet, 42 Redpoll,27 Rock Pipit, 300+ Skylark, 29 Reed Bunting and 2 House Martin all moving south. 9 Crossbill went North.

4 Ring Ouzel dropped in at the south end of the East Dunes this am

Also on 14th

Great grey shrike - on ridge along Golf Course edge, north of north building
Lap bunting - one south
Yellow browed warbler 2 - one very vocal at Sykes Farm early afternoon.
Long eared owl - East Dunes
Thrush sp - a leucistic? bird with a redwing flock just after dawn, looked completely sandy/golden - leucistic Redwing or Golden Bush Robin !?
