If you can't be bothered to tell us where you see things why should I bother to follow your blog?

Being one of the regular contributors to the forum,i just assumed people would know were my patch was and didn't expect a sarcastic reply from a simple mistake on my part. From now on I just won't bother anymore, this way at least i won't make anymore mistakes.

Steve,
I hope you will continue to contribute as you have done in the past. I have some sympathy with Ian, however, as Lincolnshire is a very large county and we cannot possibly know what is everyone's local patch. In addition, I struggle with a lot of the technology and I suspect there are some other older members of the Forum are not into "Blogs" /"Links" etc. Wouldn't it be easier to submit your records with a date, time and place? This would make it easier for everyone to follow, particularly Colin and Sheila who have to extract the records.

Perhaps a new feature on the 'basic info' we see about ourselves to the left, under Location - 'Local Patch'?

Blimey this site is getting to be worse than a primary school playground!! [-X

I agree totally with Stuart. It is not possible to remember where everybody's 'patch' is (I could claim to have 3 patches 8) ) and surely it would help all readers, and especially those that use the records for statistical purposes, to include all the data suggested including, where possible, maximum numbers.

I believe Steve regularly visits Worlaby carrs and Bonby Carrs and think that might be his patch but I can't be certain

Sheila and I think that we know Steve well enough to presume, hopefully correctly, that his reference to a local patch indeed refers to Worlaby Carrs.

Regards,

Sheila and Colin

I to assume that by patch bits Steven means Worlaby or Bonby carrs. Other on the forum don't through no fault of their own it would be much easier for everyone on the forum to be more specific. Not only with places but numbers of species and all species of bird seen. This isn't always easy but the forum would benefit from the three things mentioned.

First time I've been on this week.

YES Steve's local patch is Worlaby, Bonby and Saxby Carrs plus surrounding area for those who don't know

Whenever I put as my sub heading " Local Patch" I always list the places individually or put a grid ref that way for those who don't know my local patch there are no issues.

I checked out Steve's blog recently for the first time and it is there for all to see, plus it is easy peasy to get on it with one click!

Kind regards

Max
