Missed all the goodies and the hoped for Terek Sandpiper never materialized but a Short-eared Owl hunting over the saltmarsh at 16:45 was good to see.

Regarding the Black Kite, RBA reported that one was seen from the hide at Kikby on Bain pits this afternoon.

If all the recent sightings of black kite relate to the same bird then it has taken to ranging almost as widely as the W T Eagle - it has been seen at Gib four times and Spurn twice since it was found on the Wolds.
