I see on Birdguides there's a report of a 1st summer Purple Heron at Bicker on the 40 foot drain this afternoon. Does anyone have any more info on this?

Cheers,

John

Reported on Thursday 26th 1.40 - 2.12 on S Forty Foot drain, then flew and appeared to land near the railway bridge. TF180384, use footpath on east bank of drain. There's also a photo on the RBA website taken by Tom Lowe (the finder ?). The link is at :
http://www.rarebirdalert.co.uk/RealData ... t_filter=6,
but you may need an RBA sub to access it. Anyone know the finder ?

Phil

Looks like the finder may be the same person that found the Immingham Collared Pratincole - see that thread.
