9 Bewick Swans back with the mute swans nearer the road today,a wader shot along the river eau, before i could get on it properly, never called out, think it was a Greenshank, but never saw it again, too far off it,
good numbers of Fieldfare,50+,a few Redwings mixed in with them.
15 wigeon,
50+ pinkfoots over west.
2 Common Buzzards, looks good for se owls, but none seen, ive been told there was 5 in a recent winter by the man with the black dog!!.
I go to the most obscure places and keep bumping into the man with the black dog!!
this place does remind me a little of w carrs, wish it was as good but gonna keep going.
regards,
Roger.

Two years ago I had three SEO at Butterwick Hale which is only a stone's throw away.

Hey don't you be telling everyone that BB is as good as WC or else we will be having bus loads going :)

Regards

John

Jan 31st: 1500 - 1600

Driving along Butterwick Road had c400 corvids going to roost nearby.

The 9 Bewick's and 19 Mute's were opposite the first pull in [ on the right ] on Black Bank Road after turning right out of Sands Lane. Although it was misty and they were halfway between the riverbank and road I managed to get a record video shot.

Regards

John
