The mirk and the cold did not deter the watchers and the Reserve was very busy. Not too much to put on the postcard home but the brent geese were feeding on arable near the quarry, although they were down to 8 birds today (including 2 dark bellied).

Otherwise all was as expected, that is apart from page 76 in a new book for sale in the shop called 'Hide', rather racey indeed.

We had the Brents after you left, flying northwards. Also fem Marsh Harrier flying east. Quiet else
