I was at Butterwick Pullover looking for the Rough-legged buzzard from 06:15 (yes it was rather dark) to 09:00. No sign while I was there, but as I couldn't see anything at first I started counting species I could hear, by 9am I had made it to 50 from the one spot, which I was pretty pleased with. Highlights; Lapland bunting (5), brambling (4), twite, barn owl & greenshank. Of course the buzzard appeared 15 mins after I had gone (I did have to work!...). It was seen later on the Prison fields (PS) and then over the Freiston wetlands after lunch (AW). Hopefully it'll hang around....
Also seen at Fresiton today;
Purple sandpiper on sea bank then flew towards Witham Mouth (Neil Smith)
Well done on the Yankee GP Paul.
Cheers,
John
