Had planned a couple of hours @ MSW this morning but the visit was cut short due to me being attacked by a unleashed Doberman!! Instead had 3 hours + in hospital :x

I did manage to see the following though, mainly from the viking way and bridle path, did not make the hide.

Robin - 4
Chaffinch - 6
Wren - 8
Crow - c20
Goldfinch - 1
Siskin - 6
Water Rail - 3 heard
Reed Bunting - c30
Blue Tit - 12
Great Tit - 8
Magpie - 4
Dunnock - 4
Tree Sparrow - 5 (again in with Reed Buntings as my previous post)

Sorry to hear about your encounter with the dog Steve. The bridleway is much used by locals to walk their dogs and I have got to know most of the owners as pretty responsible but I have noticed that at weekends a lot more appear and dogs don't seem to be well controlled. I trust you had an apology and gathered the contact details of the owner?

Re the tree sparrows, I'll look much more closely at the Reed Bunting groups from now on. Well spotted!

Regards

David
