Butterwick Common (SW of Scunthorpe)

Joint LNU and British Dragonfly Society meeting
Nine species recorded on the hottest day of the year so far. Mainly noted around fishing lake.
Variable Damselfly 1
Common Blue Damselfly 40
Azure Damselfly 100's
Blue-tailed Damselfly 20
Large Red Damselfly 10
Red-eyed Damselfly 100's (mainly on lily pads)
Emperor 2
Brown Hawker 1
Black-tailed Skimmer 30
Probably another 3 or 4 species at least present at this site later in year.
