Up early this morning to go to Gib Point - heard a Turtle Dove calling near the Church area from my garden at 0530 hrs!

After Gib Point, did my TTV of TF25J. Highlights:
6 Swallows
3 Chiffchaff
2 male Blackcap
1 Yellowhammer
1 Green Woodpecker

No Little Egret seen this morning before work on Dogdyke Road so progressed up to Scrub Hill:
8 Canadian Geese
6 Greylag Geese
1 Canada X Greylag Goose
4 Tree Sparrows
1 Lapwing

Called in at Coningsby Sewage Works (might have been some wagtails about):
10 Greylag Geese in the field (suspect due to proximity of Tattershall Lakes & Park over the River Bain they are from there)
2 Mistle Thrush
Yellowhammer pair
Another Lapwing.

Give it till the end of the month and turtle doves should be back at fiskerton fen near lincoln, had them there consistly last year, maybe 8 out of 10 visits, and up to 4 birds visible, dunno if its worth atrip up from boston though, but you could chuck in a visit to boultham mere as well to make a day of it
