Before I give the sightings. I would like to appeal to anyone who goes to the reserve from tomorrow if they spot a spectacle lens would they please pick it up and mention it on here, while there this afternoon one of the lens popped out but I'm not sure where, other than it had to be no more than three hundred yards just before the old tool shed as I was coming from the car park. I'll nip down tomorrow and have a good look, the chances of finding it are slim especially if any Magpie's spot it, but maybe my luck will be in. There is a reward!

Dec 28th:

Went down yesterday morning and asked several people in car park and the work party who I saw further down the track if they had seen the spectacle lens, and no they hadn't.

I went as far as old tool shed and there was no sign of it, as expected. Maybe one day it will turn up.

After opening the gate to go out I went steadily back to car using my stick [as those who have been last few days know the track is sheer ice] and on getting to the car slipped and fell finishing part way under the car bruising my shin SO BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!

Knowing how treacherous the entrance to the reserve is I would have thought the work party could have put some salt down, it's cheap enough!! Even in the car park people were slipping [including myself] and having to be very careful because it was sheer ice. Even with my snow boots on with large treads it made no difference, I was certainly pleased I had the aid of the stick.

If I feel okay later today I may take some salt down because I'm certain no one else will, it's always left to someone else isn't it????????????????

Regards

Max
