I have been taking part in the annual winter roosting surveys since they began in 1983 and over the past 7 to 10 years numbers have declined to only 1 or 2 , this winter i have recorded 5 on 3 surveys thru dec/ jan
In the 1980s i recorded 6 to 9 on a regular basis,so i assume their has been some immigration from the colder parts of europe this winter? (I,ve never seen a wing tagged bird on the coast in all those years ) John.

Only one bird at Gib patrolling during the day - judged to be a 2nd cal yr male and usually shows well daily.

Nige monitors the roost area on a monthly basis so may add to this.

Cheers

Kev
