In all, a less-than-average hour... bit disappointing really, but not surprising given that the cat from over the hedge kept coming into the garden....

At least you did better than I did, Katherine. I spent my hour at lunch-time with not a single bird in my garden. I think it had a lot to do with the sparrowhawk sitting on the top of a tall tree in the next street! However, I did have some compensation. I drove up into the hills and had half an hour watching THREE barn owls in a field near Thoresway.
