For those that may not have already heard, Ron Scatliffe passed away at 0500 hrs on July 16th.
Ron, who lived at Bassingham near Lincoln, had been ill for a long time but had continued birding until a few weeks ago.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Kathleen, who, by some cruel twist of fate, is also suffering from the same awful disease that took her husband.

Rest in peace Ron.

Roy.

Lincolnshire birding has lost a a strong and gentle man whose good humour throughout some very dark days has been a source of inspiration. He will be missed.

John

I've only just found out who he was. I met him only the once earlier this year with Dean and his dad at Bardney Lock. Found him a likeable chap who didn't mince his words.

Regards

John [Max] :(

We have only just learned of the death of Farmer Ron and are deeply saddened.
Rest in peace, Ron.
