seawatch records from JPS 0700-1030 and 1215-1330

little auk 31 north, 60 south
Pom skua 2 south
Bonxie
1 south
Glaucous gull 1st cal yr
velvet scoter
great northern diver
kittiwake 120 south
fulmar 2 north
woodcock 4 in off (plus another 4)
blackbird 5 in off - dodging the large gulls - at one time 11 greater black-backs were after one of the blackbirds low over the waves.

Also a waxwing around.

There was a 1st Winter Sandwich Tern present on the beach this afternoon. Personally not seen one for some weeks.

a Blackbird which was arriving off Mablethorpe was less fortunate in being attacked first by a Common Gull and then eaten whole by a GBBGull just 40m from the beach; several flocks of Starlings and a Short-eared Owl in off as well
