Also, more properly, known as 'The Bombing Range'

Now please leave me alone

What's got up your nose?

Have I let the secret out the bag?

Had a quick walk around yesterday morning.

Now also Blackcaps and Willow Warblers singing with the odd barking of Roe Deer. Peacocks and Commas also seen.

Its a nice quiet place and openly available to allcomers despite the attempts of local farmers and land owners to make entry to it a pain in the a..e.

Everyone should pay a visit.

The barrier accross the entrance track is there for security reasons, it has nothing to do with making access to the Bombing Range more difficult. There are, as Phil knows, a number of such barriers on the farm. Access can be obtained from the Misson side easily enough, albeit the landowner there is not the most amenable of people at times.

There is no "secret" about the Bombing Range, I only wish there were.

Why did you tell Jenny to as you put it, " leave you alone" with the addition of the Evil emoticon? Surely that was uncalled for?

I contacted Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and spoke to someone about access etc. They gave me permission and a phone number if any problems occur.

The chain across the track on the Misson side is handy, but can be pulled back to allow access and put in place again.

Cheers
Max

Moderators, apart from Max's initial entry, surely this is the sort of chit chat that should go on the new Chat section?

My post was neither directed at you and nor, in any event, was it intended in the way implied.

Stuart

I couldn't agree more. In any event I have no intention of commenting further.

Thank you for that. It is always difficult to interpret the way things are intended when they are typed messages rather than face to face conversations where body language can be read.
I must admit that I had taken the first message the wrong way and as a female who is plucking up courage to go birdwatching to some local spots alone I found it a bit disconcerting, however when you replied with your second message I saw that I had taken it the wrong way.
I agree that this is more of a 'chat' thread now and should probably be moved, however I too am not intending to post further on this.
Regards to all.
Jenny

But not everyone can read non-verbal communication. Being autistic, I don't have the luxury of being able to read body language. I prefer it the other way round, being able to put smilies at the end of a piece of writing indicating the way in which it's meant to be taken....

I had the first word and let this be the last.

PS: Don't delete the sightings for Misson Carr.
