Hi,
I've been to both Rufford and Clumber Park several times recently hoping to see Hawfinches and have heard from a couple of people that the best place in Rufford to see them is the car park. Could you confirm if the car park you saw them in is the mill car park or the other one?
Thank you
Jenny

Jenny, It's the main car park.
Main entrance on your left coming from Ollerton way.
You need to be there soon after dawn for best results and a good path to take is the one to the Ice House.
It is signed.

Thank you very much, think I have been going too late. Will have to make the effort and get up early one weekend to try and see them.

Went yesterday at 7.30 to try to see them but was unsuccessful, oh well will keep trying.
On the way home I did see a Common Buzzard being mobbed by two Lapwings. It flew right over my car when I was stopped at traffic lights so got very good views.
