Post subject:  Butterfly Conservation Lincs Branch Open Day and AGM 31 Jul

The well-attended Open Day Guided Walk at Chambers Farm Wood, Bardney began at 11.00am in bright sunshine with over 40 participants setting off from the Centre. Some 'good' butterflies were seen including White Admiral, Peacock, Skippers, Gatekeeper, Brimstone (male) and Ringlet. A number were potted for close inspection.

The Butterfly Garden looked splendid with its large and impressive array of butterfly nectar plants and it attracted a number of species including Painted Lady and Red Admiral.

Welcome low-priced refreshments were available at the Centre.

With thanks to Chairman Peter Cawdell and his Committee for staging this enjoyable event.

Freddy
