| Post subject: | Marsh Fritillary and Dingy Skipper - 22 May |
I spent the morning from 10.00 today (Sunday) at Chambers Farm Wood Reserve, Bardney. Concentrating on Little Scrubbs Meadow, I came across 15 Marsh Fritillaries and 3 Dingy Skippers. Surprisingly, there was an absence of additional species apart from half a dozen unidentified small Whites which flew through. I also found 3 Marsh Fritillaries and 2 Dingy Skippers in the recently developed meadow alongside Little Scrubbs. Pleased to note that the Fritillaries had spread across to this new site. Freddy |
