Hi all

A rather tatty Dark Green Fritillary spent 20 minutes in my parent's Foston garden today: http://www.lincsbirdclub.co.uk/album/di ... ?pid=21345 needless to say that it was a garden tick, perhaps a dispersing individual from a local release (Robert's Field seems to have miraculously recovered this species) or a dispersing vagrant in this crazy summer for odd butterfly records. Also present Common Blue, Speckled Wood and Essex Skipper which were the 1st records in the couple of weeks that I have been checking. Also had Hummingbird Hawk-moth and Painted Ladies in the last few days.

cheers

Alex
