March 28th:

I'd been out in car and when I got in and about to take my coat off spotted a butterfly on my left upper arm, wondered where it had come from, it was a Comma, it flew off and went upstairs, I sent a text to a pal and told him and he said it must have been tired  . I went to look for it but cudn't find it, all windows were shut so it's in hiding :?

Cheers

JTG

May: Small White & GV White.

June: GV White.

July 13th: Peacock - 1.
July 16th: Red Admiral - 1, Large White - 3, Sm White - 2, Comma - 1.

Last few weeks seen numerous ones which I'm not able to ID cos I didn't have me specs on and couldn't be bothered going out.

Thought I wasn't going to get any buddleia flowering this year due to severe pruning but they are now in flower.

Cheers

JTG

July 17th: Comma - 1 plus Large & Small Whites.

July 30th: Red Admiral - 1 ( on garage roof), Peacock - 1 (over), Holly Blue - 2 ( one on Ivy and other on Privet) and 6+ assorted Whites (mostly on cabbages, spuds and runner beans grrr).

July 31st: Spotted a Peacock tucking itself under the guttering of porch just as it was starting to rain. Then while filling feeders spotted a Red Admiral doing similar in the privet. One Large White on the buddleia.

On Tuesday my pal had 6 Comma and 2 Gatekeeper in their garden.

I know I've had far more in my garden than I've recorded but because of the amount of trees obscuring the view have missed them.

Cheers

Max

Aug 1st:

Gatekeeper - 1 (in driveway) =D>
Peacock - 1 ( on buddleia)
Comma - 1 ( on buddleia)
Assorted whites - 6+

Aug 2nd:

Peacock - 3 ( on buddleia)
Red Admiral - 1 (passing through)
Whites - lots all over the place

When I went in back place was met by 4 Small T/shell and 1 Peacock! One of each stayed and the others flew out.

A good day at last for the fly-byes.

Best week so far this year without a doubt.

Aug 29th:

Red Admiral - 1 (pics)
Small T/shell - 1 (pics)
Peacock - 2 (pics)
Large White - 3

Aug 30th:

Red Admiral - 3 (pics)
Small T/shell - 4 (pics)
Peacock - 3
Small Copper - 1
Small White - 3
Large White -3
Most were seen on what was the second largest Bud' but last winter some of the branches broke off so decided to cut it to ground level, so only got half it's usual size but later flowers.

I read that some of the regulars are not seeing Red Admiral whereas I've seen quite a few, well done me
