Post subject:  Daubentons

I've just got back from Ancolme Leisure Centre, where I was lucky enough to see a wonderful flying display from what I think was a Daubentons. Nothing unusual about seeing one of this species near the Ancolme? It was flying around over the swimming pools!! :o It dived down right to the surface of the water about 6 feet in front of me - amazing! I also had a good chuckle at the hysterical lady who screamed and then left the pool very quickly, and also the lifeguard who kept ducking!!
I've reported the incident to Annette Faulkener so hopefully it won't happen again.
Oh yes...the bat did manage to escape.

Libby. :D
