Possible Brown long-eared bat (Plecotus auritus)
Seen flying around and catching a moth in daylight approx 2:00pm

Amazing! I've been caring for bats on and off for almost 30 years and still havent seen one flying around in the daytime, there was a report of a Noctule flying around near Legbourne woods recently too. I can only assume they are not getting enough food during the night at the moment. Have you reported it to the Lincs Bat Group?

Hi Jayne, Yes unusual to see in daylight. I have sent an email to the Bat recorder.
