Finally a decent moth night. Had the trap out in the garden overnight (15watt actinic lamp over Skinner trap). Caught about 60 moths of 21 species with the high-light being Cream-bordered Green Pea.
Cheers

while on the subject of moth traps, i want to build one but do i really need a mercury vapour lamp, is there any reason why a low voltage household lamp cannot be used. Colin Pumfrett.

If you want to get any decent numbers of moths then I would recommend a MV or actinic lamp. I'm sure a standard household lamp would attract a few moths though.
