On May 20th 2009 I reported on the forum a sighting of a water vole on the River Rase where it runs through Market Rasen Golf Course. I haven't seen another one until today when my golf partners pointed out one grooming itself on the bank of the Rase close to where the Golf Club and Racecourse meet. My golf was pretty good today but this was definitely the icing on the cake!! |

I hadn't seen a Water Vole on the Golf Course since the earlier report but was delighted to see one in virtually the same place this afternoon. Like Willow Tits they are hanging on in this area! |
