I am 99.99% certain that neither of last years adults or any of the three juveniles that fledged from my local nestbox last Summer were ringed (location of box makes it nigh impossible to access).

I just discovered by pure chance this evening that this years resident has a ring on left leg - with time (and a bit of luck) I will get a better picture of the ring (assuming this Owl is here to stay and not just using the box as an over-winter retreat)

Mark,
Alan Ball and Bob Shepherd do most of the Barn Owl ringing in your area. Alan uses the Forum and a Private Message to him might be useful.
