Attempted first CES session this morning called off after half an hour and some extremly rough gusts of wind, try again next week. However, Mark Grantham did find a Tawny Owl nest with 3 big fat healthy chicks in it to ring!
Knew that Tawnies were two weeks early this year but still came as a shock, having not noticed the nest before today.Shocking number of Jackdaw nests found now - probably over 30 in total so far, all with eggs.
Hopefully next weekend will prove better with the weather.
