Just an update from the south of the county. Bob Sheppard and I have ringed 300 Siskins in the past month or so in the Bourne area. Also caught was a Czech-ringed Siskin and a couple of 'British controls'. Along with 50 Lesser Redpolls ringed was a nice male Common (Mealy)Redpoll. Finally, an interesting 'retrap' this last weekend was a male Chaffinch ringed 10 years and 4 days earlier.

Welcome aboard, Alan. Siskins always provide a good number of controls (birds ringed elsewhere by other ringers). I've only ringed 35 so far this year - probably because they're all at Bourne!
