There are a lot of Siskins in the Willingham Forest area and they have now started coming into one of my ringing sites. I ringed 16 this afternoon and their weights varied between 11.2 and 15.1 grams. I have found in the past that they move on at about 16 grams and previous recoveries have shown rapid movement to their breeding areas, particularly in the Grampian region.

A monthon and I caught six more in my garden yesterday. Again the weights ranged from 11.5 and 15.4 grams so they are still moving through and should still be in the Market Rasen area for a couple more weeks.
