Freshly dead Barn Owl, road casualty found by side of Lincoln bypass this morning.
The bird was wearing ring number GR78972.
Reported to BTO but probably one of Alan's or Bob's?

Hi Andy,
I can confirm that the ring number is not allocated to the Mid Lincs RG so your assumption may well be right.

OS Map reference SK5046 accuracy 0, co-ordinates 53deg 0min N 1deg 15min W accuracy 1.
It was found on 17-Feb-2015 time unknown at North Hykeham, Lincoln, Lincolnshire, UK
OS Map reference SK9265 accuracy 0, co-ordinates 53deg 10min N 0deg 37min W accuracy 0.
Finding condition: Freshly dead
Finding circumstances: Road Casualty
Extra Information: -
It was found 232 days after it was ringed, 47 km from the ringing site, direction ENE.
