A colleague of mine who is a non birder reported that he had seen last weekend a Buzzard with a Yellow wing tag. Apparently the bird was close as it had alighted on the garden hedge and he was able to see that the tag on the birds right wing was the number 10. The bird then flew up and perched on the ridge of a nearby agricultural building. I said to him that it didn't sound very Buzzard like behaviour to alight on a building and also I had never heard of a wing tagged Buzzard. I suggested the bird was more likely to have been a Red Kite which do come with wing tags.

So can someone please help me by telling me where to report a yellow wing tag marked with 10 to?

Mike

Good evening Michael,
It seems to be this may well be a Red Kite and I have sent you further information via Private Message.
Regards,
Stuart
