Quick stroll this morning, nothing new really:

Curlew Sandpiper - 1
Garganey - 1 male
Greenshank - 4
LRP - 2
Hobby - 1

Also seen today;

Wood sandpiper - 1, Reedbed hide
Common buzzard - 2 south-west during the afternoon
Marsh harrier - 1
Wheatear - East Hide
Ruff - 3, Visitor Centre

Oh nearly forgot, two turtle doves in the farm adjacent to the reserve yesterday.

Ooh - those, and the Wood Sandpiper could be numbers 175 and 176! I still love the new reserve facilities, but feel that the opening times for the Visitor Centre should extend to 17:00 or 17:30 in the summer....

Yes, we'd like to, but we don't have sufficient staff/volunteer resources to do this for the time being....
