WEATHER: Windy at first, wet later.
Saw quite a lot.

Short-eared Owl - 1 hunting over bank near salt marsh Mute Swan - plenty Little Egret - 2 Coot - plenty Moorhen - 5
Garganey - 1 male still on scrapes Shoveler - several pairs Mallard - usual lots Tufted Duck - about 50-60 Gadwall - 3 pairs Shelduck - circa 100 Wigeon - 4
Greylag Goose - 20 Canada Goose - 30 Brent Goose - large flock on salt marsh
Curlew Sandpiper - 1 Whimbrel - 3 Avocet - about 30 Redshank - 20 Lapwing - many all over reserve Ruff - about 5 Dunlin - 10 Oystercatcher - 5 Ringed Plover - 7 Turnstone - 2
Swallow - 30 Sand Martin - 15 House Martin - 10 Swift - 3 (my first sighting this year)
Goldfinch - 5 Chaffinch - 2 Yellow Wagtail - 1 Wheatear - 1 Starling - 10 Blackbird - several Skylark - 4 Meadow Pipit - 1 Reed Bunting - 2 pairs
Greater Black-backed Gull - 20 Lesser Black-backed Gull - 15 Herring Gull - 25 Black-headed Gull - many
Pheasant - many in fields, some on Scrape islands Carrion Crow - 1 over Salt Marsh Magpie - 5 Rook - some in fields
Usual Collared Doves and Woodpigeons
