Our first Blackie fledging appeared in our garden a few mins ago, looking very healthy and being watched over carefully by his doting father!  No sign of any more youngsters at present, just hope the damn neigbourhood cats stay away  They killed 4 last yearM&M |

Yes Mandy, cats are a major blight on all small wildlife and their carnage accounts,as you know, for millions of UK birdlife annually. I thought the beasts were absent from our area but a moth-eaten Tom came into view shortly after reading your post. If only I believed in gun law! Richard...... |
