Hi, Seven arctic terns seen flying low north past the new Frampton Marsh Visitor Centre at 07:35. Then seen, still heading north, overland at Scrane End (a couple of miles inland of Freiston) by Paul French at 07:55. It's a very windy and misty morning. Presumably these birds have come overland from the south coast, taking the shortest route to their breeding grounds. No doubt the poor weather forced them nearer to the ground to orientate. Worth checking the reservoirs if it's like this elsewhere. John |

In addition to the above, i had another Arctic Tern low north east over the A16 between Boston and Sibsey yesterday afternoon (c5pm). Must have been a big passage overland in the area. Common Tern at Freiston this morning, and my first Common Whitethroat singing at Frampton this morning. Cheers, PF. |
