Phew! What a brilliant day.

Found a Black Redstart at Risby Warren :D also at least 6 Wheatear and a male Ring Ouzel.
Also 2 Buzzards and lots Meadow Pipits

Later 12 Waxwings giving fabulous views at Waters Edge, Barton in the car park. (Thanks Graham :)

Also at Waters Edge:

1 Sparrowhawk
2 Blackcap
2 Chiffchaff
6 Willow Warbler
plus the usual.

A pair of Greylags are proud parents of 10 goslings!

A fantastic Easter Sunday :D :D

No sign of Black-red or Rouzel today,but 9 Wheatear.

Visited there from 12.30-3.30.

No sign of Black Redstart or Ouzel

Barton Waxwings showing well in the evening sunshine tonight up to 6.15pm.

The waxwings disappeared over the houses towards Tesco's just as we arrived - only about a dozen

The waxwings seem to disappear for an hour or so at a time. They were seen at 12.30 apparently, again 2ish, then about 4 o clock they returned and stayed for a couple of hours coming down to the guelder rose bushes about every fifteen minutes. The Colour ringed bird amongst them again, we counted 11 waxwings, there were 12 yesterday.

Unbelievevable!!-Ive spent the last 2-3 weeks searching on Risby Warren for Black redstart and r ouzels and not found any,!!!,soon as i go to work,bingo both birds are on there and ive yet to see a wheatear up there!!!.lifes a bitch so they say.............just hope this isnt how the years gonna pan out!!!good luck mandy west.
