Whilst carrying out surveys at Gedney Drove End this morning I had a Great White Egret fly over SW at 09:32. The bird was only seen in flight but the large size, slow wing beats, yellow in bill, very long legs and black feet were diagnostic. Also seen today:- 2 Little Egrets 1 adult Whooper Swan 2 Grey Partridges 1 Swallow 1 male Wheatear 1 Chiffchaff |
