A five mile walk with the wife this afternoon produced 1 Buzzard, 3 Chiffchaffs, 7 Crossbills and Siskins literally everywhere. As we walked on the road between the Golf Course and Linwood Warren there were at least 30 drinking just inside the Reserve near the gate. Highlight was a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker near the entrance to the "High Ropes" site (the old Scout camp). |
