On my local patch today:- 4 Great Crested Grebes 2 Shelduck 3 Gadwall 9 Shoveler (7 males) 1 male Pochard 13 Tufted Duck 3 Sparrowhawks displaying 1 Common Buzzard 1 female Kestrel 1 male Peregrine flew through, low W 2 Oystercatchers mating 4 Lapwings displaying c130 Black-headed Gulls 18 Common Gulls 2 Kingfishers chasing each other, very vocal 1 Green Woodpecker yaffling 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers drumming & displaying 2 Sky Larks singing 5 Meadow Pipits 1 Pied Wagtail 1 Song Thrush singing 1 Chiffchaff singing 2 Tree Sparrows 2 Bullfinches 3 Yellowhammers 1 male Reed Bunting |
