Decided to have a look for crossbills. The highlights: An hour at Walesby Moor: 5 crossbills 3 redwings 1 pair bullfinches 2 long-tailed t*ts An hour at Linwood Warren (my first visit): 3 crossbills 2 green woodpeckers 1 great spotted woodpecker 2 long-tailed t*ts 2 tree-creepers Half an hour at Dog Kennel Wood: 3 crossbills 5 siskins 1 kingfisher And a buzzard at Tealby on the way home. Sunday 22nd - Also 2 Crossbills in the first car park at Gib Point today! Other highlights were- 2 RT Diver, 1 RB Merg, 10 or so Eider and lots of Avocet now in. David Jenkins |
