Arrived at 0900 and left very tired at 14.00 with no shortage of watchers to chat to

Good to see the Pochard and Wigeon back [for me at least], in total had 40 species including those other than water birds.

The following are the highlights:

Common Buzzard - 3
Sprawk - 1 [it made counting very difficult due to it putting the birds up over a lengthy period of time]
Tawny Owl - 1
Kingfisher - 2
Oyks - 2
Snipe - 3
Reed Bunting - 9
Dunnock - 4
Fieldfare - 3
Wigeon - 33
Pochard - 24
Tufted Duck - 64
Golden Plover - c400 [ over ]
Comorant - 16 [ most I have seen there for many years]
Redshank - 5
Curlew - 6
Gadwall - 12
Shoveler - 6
Goosander - 1
Teal - 6
Mistle Thrush - 1

Susworth: 0815

Barn Owl - 1

Black Bank : 0810

Kestrel - 2

Grid Ref: SE 8605 1500

Mixed bunch of finches including Tree Sparrow - 4+ , Yellowhammer - 19+ , Linnet - 6+ , Chaffinches - 4+ ]
Buzzard - 1

Met and chatted at length to Martin Common and Ian Lee at MSQ

Cheers

Max
