Location: Boston, South Lincs
Departed Boston on 09:40 train and got into Lincoln at about 11:10-ish. Went to see the Anglian Regiment Homecoming Parade.

SPECIES SEEN:

Red Hawk (rufous fletcherii - :wink: ) - 9 seen in faultless formation down Lincoln High Street trailing red, white and blue smoke. Very talented vagrants! :mrgreen:

Ahem........ :oops: :D

Peregrine - 1 observed swooping off Lincoln Cathedral.
Great Grested Grebe - 4-5 pairs courting on South Forty Foot. Lots of head bobbing and a weed display!
Tufted Duck - many on South Forty Foot
Mute Swan - many on Witham as per usual
Greylag Goose - 3 on South Forty Foot
Canada Goose - 5 on South Forty Foot
Mallard - usual on S.F.F.
Coot - 15
Moorhen - 1
Goldfinch - 2 over Lincoln High Street circa 15:45
Chaffinch - 1 heard calling at Sleaford Railway Station
House Sparrow - pair possibly looking at nest sites at Sleaford Railway Station
Rook - group in trees near Lincoln Railway Station very busily making nests
Magpie - lots all over the place
Jackdaw - plenty
Carrion Crow - 4 pairs seen in field near Heckington
Pheasant - usuals
Collared Dove - 1 in VERY good voice calling on platforms at Sleaford Railway Station
Woodpigeon - all over the place
