More action on the car park lake than the main lake until about 3. Main highlights:
Common buzzard circling over - hung around for 5 minutes or so
Sparrowhawk
Teal - 2 pair
Oystercatcher - pair on island in the car park lake. 2 there last week. 2 more on Welland nearby
Gossander. 2 females, as last week, but on different lake.
Bar headed and barnacle geese (1 of each), seen on Welland last week, now on car park lake. Greylag/barnacle young still with greylag further down river, as last week.
Goldeneye - still a few around, but not as many as last week
Great crested grebe - loads on the Welland. 30+ on a 5 mile stretch
Shelduck - one flew over the river
Pochard - 12, main lake
Long tailed tit - just 2 this week
Cormorant - 3 on car park lake, 2 very pale fronted
Canada goose - mixed enclave of Canada and greylag on the river.
Tufted duck - loads all down the river, and in the reserve
